MICHAEL DIERKS ANNOUNCED AS CHIEF GUEST OF THE NRW FILM FESTIVAL

The NRW Film Festival is proud to announce Michael Dierks, acclaimed German/British actor, director, and entertainer, as the Chief Guest of this year's edition.

Born in Cologne, Michael Dierks studied acting, directing, and entertainment business at UCLA in Los Angeles before returning to Germany, where he became a familiar face in television and film. He is best known for his roles in T.V. Kaiser, Hausmeister Krause – Ordnung muss sein,  and the popular series, Der letzte Bulle,  Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten and Unter uns. He also played in international feat. Film such as The Postcard Killings and Schöne Witwen küssen besser.

With a career spanning more than two decades, Michael Dierks embodies the creativity, versatility, and cultural exchange that lie at the heart of the NRW Film Festival. His presence as Chief Guest highlights our mission to celebrate powerful storytelling and cinematic artistry.

We look forward to welcoming Michael Dierks to Cologne for the opening of the NRW Film Festival on 7th December 2025.
